Hello — I’m Alice. Unschooler, mentor, writer, speaker, and reluctant radical. Mum of four boys who have grown up learning from the world, from each other, and from everything we’ve encountered along the way.

I left social media, and I haven’t looked back. If you were looking for me, you’ve found me — right here, in this quiet corner of the internet.

Since 2010, our family has lived as if school doesn’t exist. I’ve spoken at conferences, given a TEDx talk I nearly talked myself out of giving, appeared in The Guardian, The Times, the i, and on the BBC, and completed a Masters in Childhood in Society at the University of Warwick — where my research centred the voices of children who have never been to school.
